Using the File Manager go into the site's Device file and create a Batch Header Device for each Batch Queue.

Device File - Main screen
| 1. | Device code - Enter a unique code for this device. Example: BATCH-LETTERS |
| 2. | Description - Enter a description for the device. Example: Batch queue for Letters |
| 3. | Device Type - Select Outbound Interface for the device type. |
| 4. | Location - Select which location (host or remote) will be doing the batch printing. |
| 5. | Click on the Interface tab. |

Device File - Interface screen
| 1. | Interface type - Select HEADER from the drop down list. |
| 2. | Output path - Enter the directory where the batch queue files will be placed. Use %ROOT% to indicate that ChartNet root directory. Typically, the Output Path will be: %root%\batch\[sitecode] |
| 3. | File name format - Select one of the pre-defined formats from the drop down list. It is recommended to use REPORT_ID for most batches, so that the reports will all have unique file names and should a report be distributed more than once before the batch is printed, it will overlay the existing file. |
