Using the File Manager go into the site's Device file and create one or more Printer Devices that will be used by the Batch Controller to print reports to at distribution time.
Printer Device - Main screen
| 1. | Device Code - Enter a unique code for this printer device. |
| 2. | Device Description - Enter a description for this printer device |
| 3. | Device Type - Select Printer |
| 4. | Location - Select Host if printer is at the host location, or Remote if printing at a remote site |
Printer Device - Printer screen
| 1. | Windows Printer Name - Select from the drop down list the name of the printer. Note- Since Windows requires that each printer be installed on the machine that is doing the printing, when setting up a device to print at a remote site, the printer name in the device record must match the printer name that is installed on the target machine. |
| 2. | Override Printer Name - If this is a remote device and the name of the printer at the remote computer is different than the Windows printer name in the field above. |
| 3. | Page 1 Paper Source - Select the paper source to print the first page from. If left blank, then the default tray will be used. |
| 4. | Page 2 Paper Source - Select the paper source to print the rest of the pages from. |
| 5. | Envelope Form Code - If this device will be printing envelopes, select the form that contains the Envelope format. |
