Each provider that will be signing reports electronically will need to have their "E-Sign" screen edited in the Providers file. The following describes the fields on that screen. Using the File Manager, select the provider to put on e-sign, then click on the "E-Sign" tab.

This provider will sign reports electronically - Checking this box will cause any reports typed after this point to be held in the provider's e-sign queue for signing. Only forms that are flagged for electronic signature will be held.
Allow editing of reports - Checking this box will allow the provider the ability to edit reports before signing. Note that this is the only flag that controls whether the provider can edit reports or not. The system does not use any of the Transcription flags in the User Group for this purpose.
Ask for confirmation before signing a report - Checking this box will force the e-sign program to ask the provider for confirmation before signing reports. Normally not checked.
Can sign for other providers in their group - Checking this box will allow the provider to sign for other providers, provided they are in the same e-sign group. If the provider wants to sign for another provider, they will be prompted to select which provider to sign for.
Can sign for ALL providers in their group - Checking this box will allow the provider to sign for all providers in their group, if they choose to.
Optional second password for electronic signature - If a value is entered, then the program will prompt the provider to enter this password the first time a report is signed in that session. Note that this password is not the same the password used for logging in.
Provider belongs to this e-sign group - If the provider is part of a group of providers and the group allows members to sign for each other, then specify a unique code to identify their group and use that unique code for all members of the group. Note that this code is a free-text field and there are no edit checks to verify the code, so make sure you are consistent when using it.
This provider can sign reports for these e-sign groups - If the provider can sign for other providers, specify which groups they are allowed to sign for. A maximum of two groups can be specified. Normally, the first group code is the same as the group code that has been assigned to this provider.
