Once you have added a new home transcriptionist you must export their "startup files". The startup files include the system files (calcs, fields, sites, users, user groups) and site files (providers, forms, devices, addresses, etc.).
There are two ways to do this: File Manager or System Utilities.
The following describes exporting start up files using the File Manager.
Open File Manager.
Click the MT Users button.
Highlight the desired transcriptionist to export system and site files to.
Click on the Home tab.
Click on the Export startup files button.
The grid already has check marks next to all sites indicating that this user will receive files for all sites.
If a site has an existing Master Patient Index (MPI) file, and you want this user to receive all or a portion of the MPI file, you must enter the number of days of MPI data to send to this user. Enter the number of days to export under the MPI column for the site(s) that have MPI files. Note- It may not be necessary to export the entire MPI file for each site, only the past 14 days, for example. If you leave the field blank, no MPI records will be exported. To export ALL records, enter a large number, such as 9999.
Click OK
Click Yes to begin exporting.
A window will pop up showing the status of the export.
The transcriptionist is now ready to start ChartNet and do "Connect (F1)" to receive and import their startup files.
