All home users and remote sites receive updates to their local ChartNet tables and files by connecting into the host system and receiving any files they may have from the "Outbox". (The Outbox is actually the \chartnet\packer\out folder.) Since the Outbox contains files to be picked up from all users and remote sites, it can sometimes grow to contain thousands of files. Occasionally it is necessary to see how many files are in the Outbox and perhaps delete files that may be still out there for inactive or terminated employees. Using the Outbox Manager (mtpout.exe) you can view and manage the files waiting to be picked up by home transcriptionists and remote sites.
The following describes the procedure for deleting all of the files in the Outbox for a particular home user.
Open the Outbox Manager (mtpout.exe).
Select 3-Home from the Destination drop down box.
Select the transcriptionist code from the Transcriptionist Code drop down box.
Click the Refresh button.
The right hand side shows a breakdown of the files exported to this MT.
The lower section shows a list of all the files that match what you selected.
Click the Delete button. A confirmation prompt will appear telling you how many files will be deleted. Note- deleted files are not backed up so there is no way to recover these files once they are deleted.
Click the Yes button to delete.
