Templates are public files that can be inserted into any report (much like ExpandType). Each site has its own Template file that can be accessed by any user. Only the System Manager, or someone with Template Maintenance privilege, can maintain a site's Template file. Template files can be created to store, for example, Radiology "normal" exam text. When Templates are created, they are assigned a "code" that is used to identify them and can (optionally) be assigned a "group" code. A group code can be useful if you need to search the Template file for all templates that belong to a specific group, for example, all templates for Dr. Kinear.

| 1. | To add a new Template, select the "New" button. |
| 2. | Enter a code for the template. |
| 3. | If this Template is to belong to a group, enter the group code. Note- Group codes are free text, so be consistent with how you name your groups. |
| 4. | Enter a description for this Template. |
| 5. | Click on the "Text" tabsheet (at the top), then enter the text for this Template. |
| 6. | When finished, press F10 or click on "Save" to save your Template. |
| 7. | Once back on the Template Lookup screen, press ESC or "Exit" to exit out of the screen. |
