The ChartNet Voice Client is an application that allows the user to download and listen to voice files (jobs). Voice files can be obtained from any combination of ChartNet Voice Servers or ChartVox Voice Servers and can be downloaded in a variety of ways, including by work pool, by filter, or by jobs that need to be reviewed. Once jobs are downloaded, the user has the ability to listen to the jobs, change the status of the jobs (e.g. complete them), and return them. The user has the option of downloading jobs by specifing a fixed number of jobs per request, or by automatically downloading jobs in the background as jobs are completed. The user also has the ability to configure the Voice Client to interface demographic data for the current job to a transcription system, such as ChartNet Transcription.
The Voice Client consists of two modules, the "voice client" and the "voice player". The client (mtvoice.exe) is responsible for requesting and returning jobs, and the player (mtplayer.exe) is the application that plays the voice file.
